Treatments
There is several good massage therapists qualified in various styles on the island and we will develop a full list of contacts. We can recommend practitioners so please email for details of availability of particular styles of massage therapy info@bb-ibiza.com.
You are welcome to practice Yoga on the large patio and, if you would like to have your asanas checked out; we are happy to make the bookings for you to take single classes at the house or, have a course designed for your group’s abilities and itinerary. Gemma Mallol is a highly qualified trainer in yoga and given availability will be happy to help tune your chakras.
The fine tuning can go on inside with the calming care of Amanda Evelyn. Amanda practices Hypnotherapy in one-on-one sessions and information can be requested directly from Amanda via email www.freeyourmindibiza@hotmail.com.
There are also many outstanding spas on the island for which we always have details at the house.
Special breaks
We are happy to design a tailor-made break for you. Whether it’s a stag or hen party, birthday, or any excuse for a party! Christmas and New Year you can relax and have everything organised for your family and friends with a full celebration or a complete escape from the seasonal festivities.
Art courses are available in 2009 and a full itinerary will be posted soon to the Courses page.
Flights
In the summer you can choose from a wealth of operators from the UK; Easyjet, Ryanair, ThomsonFly, Iberia, BA, BMI Baby, FlyBe….
www.ryanair.com are currently offering 3 flights per week in winter direct to Ibiza but other operators fly via mainland spanish cities, generally with a 2 hour turn around in Madrid or Barcelona -but of course you can take a later connecting flight to give you a chance to visit some of the sights in these amazing cities. If you don’t mind hopping, www.easyjet.com offer cheap flights from UK to Valencia and Seville and from there to Ibiza but you may need to lay over for a day and shop / explore / dance and obviously, eat great food, so that may or may not appeal!
Be warned that Mallorca looks close but inter-island flights are expensive and even a walk-on passenger on the ferry will pay 50€ or so, one way.
Obviously you can do your own carbon off-setting, but you can also plant a tree here at the house and know that it won’t be chopped down to build a new town in ten years time and- that you can come back and visit your tree and of course, plant another one!
Ferries
With P&O www.poferries.com you can sail to Bilbao in the north of Spain. The crossing can take a day and a half but, you get a wonderful night sleep if the sea is good -and you arrive in Spain well rested. Although this seems expensive (some £500 second class), you save on petrol and car hire. A drive of some 8 hours (3 days for me because there were so many good fiestas and restaurants to try!), will bring you to Denia or Valencia where you can pick up the ferry to Ibiza www.directferries.co.uk (another 4-6hours sailing time).
Alternatively, you can sail to France and drive down the N1 to Toulouse on to Barcelona and pick up the 10 hour ferry to Ibiza www.trasmediterranea.es . You should book a cabin as this is a boring ride (a chance for a good sleep again!).
Ibiza is only about an hours drive end to end so you will arrive at the house very shortly after disembarking- despite the fact that the ports, San Antonio and Ibiza Town, are both at the other end of the island.
Car Hire
The hire companies (AVIS, Hertz, EuropCar etc) at the airport can take bookings online and these are usually the cheapest options. In summer, the rental shops dotted about are better for motorbikes, motos, bicycles and crazy quad/dune buggy things.
Local information
Although we feel you will have a great time just enjoying the views here, if you do fancy getting out and about we always have newspapers and information detailing all the activities on the island. Sea sports are obviously very popular and there are Water Parks, Go-Kart racing, Cinemas, Theatre, Exhibitions and of course the Clubs, Restaurants, Beaches and Bars (www.eivissaweb.es) that Ibiza has become famous for.
Winter brings a very much more peaceful air to the island with the valleys ablaze with almond blossom in spring and carpeted in an ever changing wash of wild flowers from January to June. From our terraces you can paint the beautiful views of the valley and the hills and relax.
The local villages have fantastic fiestas throughout the year and we are happy to drive you to and pick you up from, any of the revelries that proliferate. Our comfortable beds, fresh food and relaxed environment help ensure that anytime of year, you can enjoy twice as much of Ibiza at half the price of a hotel.
Please call for availability and, if we can help you arrange any details of your trip before you fly, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
